Once it is complete, in addition to the loft apartment expansion, the owners of the property are adding a complete shopping area for those who wish to do so that will be called The Shoppes at Sands that will include a variety of different retail stores.
The site sits on a total of 126 acres which allows plenty of room for the resort to expand. They have already donated a portion of the property to ArtsQuest who will be building a 3,500 seat theater and there will also be the National Museum of Industrial History located on the property, which will honor Bethlehem Steel.
