The Auf Wiedersehen Pet Cast have gone on to bigger things since the show ended in 2004. Many fans of the show wish for a new series, or a one-off special, but I think the time has come to let this classic TV series go, after almost 30 years. What have the Auf Wiedersehen Pet cast been doing since the show ended?, lets find out.

When the second series ended in 1986, it seemed that many of the cast didn't go on to bigger and better things, and it wasn't until the early 90's that we started to see the Auf Wiedersehen Pet cast back on our screens.

Jimmy Nail, one of the biggest stars of the show, became a Singer, Songwriter, TV Producer and Writer and also starred in many of the TV shows he created. He hit the music charts in 1992 with a number 1 single with "Ain't No Doubt" which stayed at the top of the charts for 3 weeks. An album followed, and also the TV shows, Spender and Crocodiles shoes.

Tim Spall has to be one of the biggest stars to come out of Auf Wiedersehen Pet, going on to star in movies with Tom Crusie, Vanilla Sky and The Last Samurai. Not only starring in movies, but also on the small screen, in TV shows such as The Street, Outside Edge and Frank Stubbs Promotes.

Kevin Whately has never been off our screens since the mid 80's, starring in Inspector Morse with the late John Thaw, and also in the spin-off, Lewis or Inspector Lewis as it is known around the world. Kevin is a well known face around the globe because of the series, but is better known in the UK for shows such as Peak Practice and Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

Tim Healy has starred in many TV shows since Auf Wiedersehen Pet finished in 2004, but is better known now for playing Les/Lesley in the hit ITV1 show Benidorm. Tim has also starred in Waterloo Road, Common ans Muck and Coronation Street. Tim also spends a lot of his time doing charity work in the north east of England, where he was born. Tim, Kevin and Jimmy are all supporters of the Sammy Johnson Memorial Trust, something that is close to all of them. Sammy starred not only in Auf Wiedersehen Pet, but also in Spender with Jimmy Nail.

Christopher Fairbank, has starred in some of the biggest blockbuster films of recent years. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was one of his recent on screen performances, not only that but, The Fifth Element with Bruce Willis and Alien 3 with Sigourney Weaver. Christopher has recently starred in Starlings the new drama on Sky 1 in the UK.

Noel Clarke has gone on to be one of the most popular stars not only on TV in shows such as Doctor Who, but also on the big screen in recent hits such as Storage 24, Kidulthood and Adulthood. Noel is a writer, producer and director and has got critical acclaim for the hits which he has created. Noel will be seen on the big screen next in Star Trek 2.

Pat Roach who sadly died in 2004, was the gentle giant on Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Starring in the 3 original Indiana Jones movies, and also in the James Bond movie, Never Say Never Again. Pat was many things as well as being an actor. Wrestling was what he was also known for, also a gym owner and author. He was British Heavy Weight Wrestling champion, and also European Champion twice during his career.

Gary Holton, who starred in the first 2 series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet, died in 1985, but before his untimely death, he sure did squeeze a lot into his life. He was once offered the job as lead singer of AC/DC, but turned it down. Singer, Songwriter and actor were what he was knwon for. Playing Wayne Norris in Auf Wiedersehen Pet was what he was mainly known for, but in Europe he was known for being the lead singer in such bands as The Heavy Metal Kids and Casino Steel.

Many of the Auf Wiedersehen Pet Cast have starred together again, in many TV shows, such as Minder and Crocodile Shoes. The show ended in 2004, and many fans wish it would return again, for one last swan song, but sadly for some, this will never happen.
