Las Vegas Hotel Deals on The East Side of the Strip

Latest Casino News 04 Jun , 2019 0

There are always Las Vegas hotel deals available due to the abundance of hotels and hotel rooms always available. Whether you like world class food, gargantuan buffets, relaxing by the pool, big name shows, gambling at the tables or at the slots or simply staying in a luxurious room overlooking the strip, Las Vegas has more great hotel deals than many other cities.

The list of Las Vegas hotels offering great deals is almost endless. Below I have selected some of the best on the east side of the Strip.

The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located at the south of the Las Vegas Strip is one of the tallest hotels in Vegas and presents a truly wonderful sight as it glows golden in the Nevada sun. The resort actually houses three hotels - Mandalay Bay, THEHotel at Mandalay Bay and the Four Seasons hotel. All hotel rooms are furnished to a high standard and plenty of entertainment including the famous House of Blues. From Mandalay Bay it is just a short free tram ride to the famous Luxor hotel.

Some of the cheapest Las Vegas hotel deals can be found at the Luxor. It was one of Las Vegas's first mega hotels, first opening in 1993. Its main public areas are housed within a huge black pyramid together with two matching black towers. It has 4,400 rooms and its check in desk is one of the most impressive in the world. Sadly plans are in place to reduce its Ancient Egyptian theme with one that is more adult-orientated. But it still offers some of the best hotel deals in Las Vegas. Next, head for the tram and make your way to the Excalibur.

The Excalibur Hotel and Casino is one of the best if you're looking for something special for the kids. The theme of this hotel is King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and is built like a great Arthurian castle and has one of the largest swimming pools in Las Vegas. Below ground level is a large area with various electronic and sports games that the kids will love. Oh, and by the way Mom and Dad can have some fun too. In 2003 the then largest slot jackpot was won at the Excalibur - a cool $ 39 million! Do not forget to take in the Tournament of Kings for a right royal joust. A pleasant stroll along the walkway will bring you to New York, New York.

I got one of the best Las Vegas hotels deals when I booked into the New York, New York hotel. No where else can you see the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Brooklyn Bridge all incorporated into one huge hotel. Inside you can walk the streets of New York and pay a visit to Coney Island, not to mention the roller coaster! Time head north and visit the Monte Carlo.

The Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas is modeled on the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo, France. It is home to the Monte Carlo Brew Pub which up until 2006 used to brew its own beer. That is a shame because it used to offer some really good brews. I should know! It is right next to the new CityCentre complex which is due to open later this year. I'll update this blog once I've visited, but for now let's dodge the massive building site and move along to the Bellagio.

Ah, the Bellagio, one of my favorite hotels and casinos. Why? Well it has some of the most comfortable couches in Las Vegas and that means a lot when you spend most of your time hotel hopping. This five star hotel was built on the site of the old Dunes hotel and recreates the flavor of the Bellagio resort on Lake Como in Italy. One of its most spectacular features is the large dancing water fountain called the Fountains of Bellagio. The fountains are synchronized with various pieces of music every 30 minutes in the afternoon and early evenings and every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight. The Bellagio Las Vegas hotel deals may not be the cheapest but they do offer great value for money. After watching the fountains its time to hit the Strip and head on over to Caesar's Palace.

When anyone thinks of Las Vegas they tend to think of Caesars Palace. It is a truly massive hotel housing over three thousand rooms, a convention center, a shopping mall, night clubs, performing arts venues and numerous restaurants. The Forum Shops shopping mall (recently extended) hosts a large range of outlets and even includes two free shows - The Fall of Atlantis - a spectacular animatronics show with a lot of fire, and Bacchus - a another animatronics show, this time celebrating the Roman God Bacchus. He is my favorite as he's the god of wine and good food! By now your wallet will probably be empty so it would be a good time to take in a free show at The Mirage.

The Mirage hotel and casino resort was, at the time of its building, the most expensive hotel ever built with construction costs reaching over $ 600 million. It was built by Steve Wynn who has since built the first billion dollar hotel just across the Strip that bears his name. There are two "must sees" at The Mirage. One is "Love" a production by Cirque du Soleil combining dance with the music of the Beatles. I went to see this last year and I was amazed. The other attraction is the famous volcano that erupts on the hour nightly from 5 to 11 pm. Another great free outdoor attraction is right next to the Mirage hotel at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino.

The Treasure Island Resort and Casino (TI) is the home of The Sirens of TI, an awesome live free show where some swashbuckling pirates fall prey to some equally swashbuckling female pirates - The Sirens of TI. Sailing ships, cannons belching smoke and fire, singing and some acrobatic dancing and an explosive firework finale all form part of the entertainment. Sadly this show is all that remains of the hotel's original pirate theme. Now its motif is a more adult-related fantasy theme. Lets continue going north past the Fashion Show Mall, the old Frontier and Stardust hotels and head for the most kid-friendly hotel on the Strip - Circus Circus.

Without a doubt Circus Circus offers some of the best hotel deals for Las Vegas. It also has the largest permanent big top in the world and just for the kids or those of us who are still kids at heart - The Adventure Dome. This glass and steel dome houses plenty of rides to keep the kids amused including bone shaking Canyon Blaster roller coaster. It has a county fair atmosphere with plenty of rides for all ages. The hotel itself is a bit basic but that's how they can offer such great hotel deals. By the way, if you intend visiting Las Vegas in you RV then this is the place for you as Circus Circus has the RV Park on the Strip. For those of you who suffer from vertigo I suggest you cross the strip and start heading south because now we are off to the Stratosphere.

The Stratosphere hotel and casino due to its location on the north of the strip offers some fantastic hotel room deals and is a great place to stay if you intend visiting downtown Las Vegas. Its observation tower is the tallest free-standing tower in the United States, and the views of Las Vegas and its surroundings are simply stunning. For those of you who are really brave or in my opinion just plain mad then there are three rides right at the top of the 1,150 foot tower that will really thrill (or kill) you.

That concludes our brief tour of the hotels on the east side of the Las Vegas Strip. Each of the hotels mentioned offer some great Las Vegas hotel room deals, check them all out and have a vacation of a lifetime.
