What Is Flat Betting?

There are many different ways to bet when playing Baccarat. People try to gain an edge with elaborate pyramids or raising or lowering the stakes as you lose to name a few. This is so popular among casino players, the up as you lose approach has its own name, "Martingale" or "progression" betting. One thing seasoned casino players agree on is always try to win using flat betting only. Flat betting is when you bet the same amount every time you wager and is what you will do with Baccarat Chaos. In a progressive scheme, or raising your bet every time you lose, there becomes an environment of substantial risk involved every time you play or sit down at the table. Here is an example:

You have a 6 step "progression" starting at $ 5.00 (you try and win $ 5.00 only)

Bet 1 - $ 5.00
Bet 2 - $ 10.00
Bet 3 - $ 20.00
Bet 4 - $ 40.00
Bet 5 - $ 80.00
Bet 6 - $ 160.00

The total of all bets is $ 315.00 to win $ 5.00 within only 6 hands of the entire Baccarat shoe. This does not make sense, stay away from it as it can wipe out any profits quickly. Flat betting, on the other hand will allow you to work through the whole shoe and you never are blindsed when things do not go your way for a shoe or two because you never raise your bet. It is lower risk and the only way to know is a method has a real advantage. Balanced and steady just like any formula for long term success.
