Online Poker Sites Good, Bad, Or Rigged

Latest Casino News 17 Aug , 2018 0

I get asked a lot which poker sites to play online poker at. Of course, everyone knows PStars and Full Tilt, I also like Ultimate Bet more and more and Bodog is a pretty decent site as well. But, what players ask me the most is about newer, smaller sites that are constantly opening. There are online poker sites opening up every day and I have one rule of thumb about these sites: play them at your own risk.

I think what happens to poker players online is that they tend to start out at PokerStars or Full Tilt, and even though they may know how to play decent poker, they have a hard time winning on these sites. The reasons for this are many, but mostly players do not realize how much they have to adapt their game to become a winning internet player. What this then leads to is questions about the 'fairness' of the site, etc, etc ...

At this point, players then try the next new thing, or some small site hoping for an easier game or more honest game or whatever. The problem with small sites that are just starting is not whether or not they are good sites or whether or not the games are easy. The problem is, can you trust them with your money? Remember, you have to fund your poker account and if you can not cash back out or if the site is not there a month from now, it really doesnt matter what the poker was like.

For me, it is a matter of trust with my money, not the validity of the software or the RnG or anything like that because if you can not get your money back out, it does not matter how 'fair' the deal is . I can tell you this with 100% honesty: I have never had a problem cashing out with PokerStars, Full Tilt, or Ultimate Bet and I have used different methods of cash outs on each of them at different times. I have always gotten my money pretty quickly and painlessly. How can you know for sure that will happen on a site that just opened up last month?

I have had players come to me warning me about various sites that they tried poker on and then had problems cashing out. Learn from that and if you are thinking about playing at a newer site, it might be best to give that site some time to grow and find out just how legit it really is and if it will be around tomorrow. You feel that PS or FT is rigged simply because you can not win on the site, but at least you know you can get your money out of them if you do win. Can you say that about some of these others?
