In this article we will find out a little more about Razz poker.

Razz poker is a form of this type. The main character of Razz poker is that the objective is to make the lowest possible hand. Make sure that you understand hand rankings before you play any variation of poker. In Razz poker each player is deal a total of seven cards. Five of these cards are dealt face up and two are dealt face down.

The game begins with two cards being deal face down and one card being deal face up. The cards that are face down are called hole cards and only the player knows what these cards are, this is where the gamble comes in. The first card that is dealt face up is called the door card. As the betting rounds progress each player is deal addition cards face up. When seven cards including the two hole cards have been dealt it is time for the showdown. The player with the lowest hand wins the game.

The lowest possible hand in Razz poker is 5-4-3-2-A. This hand is also referred to as 'The Wheel' or 'The Bicycle'. Once the door card has been dealt the person with the highest door card will have to 'bring it in', which is a term for a forced bet of a particular amount.
