The best time to fold is during the preflop and on the turn in terms of the amount of wager placed. Betting on the flop takes minimal antes and folding would be unwice. If you bet on the turn, then it is likely you should wager on the river. Doing so will increase the amount you risk so you have to weigh the option of folding on the turn.
