I was walking past the lottery outlet the other day and noticed a line of people waiting to buy lottery tickets for the next big jackpot. You could see that people were paying for multiple tickets costing anywhere between twenty five to fifty bucks or more. How many lottery tickets do you buy?

What's the motivation

My wife is one who consistently buys lottery tickets for draws that have jackpotted to double digit figures. However she will limit her spending to twenty five dollars at the most. I guess it's part of our human nature to hold that dream of one day striking it lucky and hitting the big one.

If people are prepared to spend so much money every week, it occurred to me that they would be far better off investing in a tried and proven system on how to pick the winning numbers instead of relying on pure luck week in and week out. Sounds logical, but as you know most people base their buying decisions on emotional reasons.

Well that being the case, is there a market for such "how to" books ie. how to win the lottery, how to pick the winning lottery numbers, how to strike the jackpot etc. There is there is ... so I checked out a couple, there are quite a few out there in the market place and selling quite well. So how do you pick the right one. That's a bit of a lotto in it's self.

All you can do is read the reviews and go with the tried and proven ones or one that has the best credentials. At least armed with a system with a proven track record your chances are now within a ratio more conducive to striking the big one.

Invest today for tomorrow

Now you may have to stop buying lottery tickets for three weeks or so (depending on how much you spend each week on the lottery) to purchase a good system that will increase your chances of winning dramatically, but this is a small price to pay if it helps you win.
