Poker- How To Develop Your Leads

Latest Casino News 03 Feb , 2018 0

Imagine this ... imagine having the ability to play your opponent with his face up. Would you ever lose? How good would you be if you could literally see your opponent's cards? I think you would be one of the best poker players in the world and ever win millions and millions of dollars. In poker, reads refer to your ability to "see" your opponents' cards. Obviously you are not going to be able to see your opponents' cards every time. The more skill you develop in poker, the better your readings will get. How do you develop your readings? Experience will teach you a lot about how your opponents play but it will not needlessly develop your readings. You could play poker for 20 years and have no clue what your opponents are holding.

In order to develop your readings, you have to force yourself to think like your opponent. You have to really think deep and try to get into your opponents' mind. What is his poker strategy? How does your opponent usually play? Does your opponent adjust his style of play when he encounters different styles of play? You have to concentrate on your opponent's every action and force yourself to think like him. The poker books can only teach you so much about starting hand requirements and pot odds. The rest of the game is all reads. If you have a good read on your opponent, you will own him. He has very little chance of beating you. If you want to improve as a poker player, I urge you to develop your readings by forcing yourself to get inside your opponents' head and think like him.
