Forget Card Counting When Playing Blackjack

Forget Card Counting When Playing Blackjack

Latest Casino News 24 Apr , 2017 0

Do not be fooled by sensational movies or books about individuals or teams of individuals who have beaten casinos at blackjack by counting cards. That is all in the past. Casinos have added tough anti-counting measures over the years so that effective card counting is no longer feasible. You cannot get an edge over the house anymore by counting cards.

You could get the maximum advantage playing blackjack if you accurately count cards and the dealer deals from just one deck of cards from top to bottom. I do not know any casinos that deal blackjack this way... but if they did, they would remove you from the premises if they caught you counting cards. Although card counting is not illegal, casinos are private property and have the right to remove people as they wish. Here are some of the tactics that casinos use to keep card counters from getting an edge:

1.) Burn or discard one or more cards off the top of the deck before dealing.

2.) Use more than one deck of cards... sometimes as many as eight decks.

3.) Reshuffle the cards long before getting to the end of the deck or decks.

4.) Deal from continuous shuffling machines... this is a killer.

5.) Restrict your betting when entering a game in progress.

Learning how to count cards is a very difficult task. Do not waste your time and money acquiring a skill that you will realistically never be able to use. Seek out another blackjack strategy, such as Hot Streak Blackjack Strategy, that does not rely on card counting. What about shuffle tracking or card clumping? Seriously?! Do you think anybody can really determine how cards will be grouped after a shuffle? Forget this, too. Also, do not choose a high risk progression system. Look for something low risk and easy to learn... something that uses solid basic playing strategy for the long run and a common sense approach for maximizing profits in your current playing sessions.

Take heart! There is still life at the blackjack tables, even after the death of card counting. Do not stick your head in the sand and think that counting cards is the only way to play and win at blackjack. Forget about card counting and enjoy the thrill of winning with other blackjack strategies. And those of you who have access to blackjack online, card counting would be of no help anyway since online blackjack programs simulate shuffling the cards after each hand.
