Las Vegas visitors have a wealth of activities located off the strip from which to choose.

Most airlines flying to SIN City offer terrific discount air fare packages. A corporate jet may land at McCarran International airport or at one of the two available satellite airports, Henderson and North Las Vegas. Owners of larger private jets may prefer to use Henderson airport because of the longer runway length and overnight fee structure.

If driving to Las Vegas from Arizona, take US 93 via Hoover Dam. If driving from California / Utah use I-15. Those who have driven to Las Vegas from California know that traffic can be severe.

Las Vegas is known for gambling and fabulous live shows. Gambling is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Live shows include locally and nationally known comedians, music groups of every genre, musicians recognized with life time achievement awards and fabulous stage shows.

Las Vegas offers another world off the strip. Surrounding the world renovated strip are other casinos that are new and exciting. Stations Casinos has fourteen casino hotels all around Las Vegas off the strip. Golden Gaming owns the famous PT's entertainment group of properties.

Other off-strip activities include hiking, spelunking, learning about historic petroglyphs, boating on Lake Mead, a tour of Hoover Dam, or a motorcycle ride to the Nipton Trading Post, Nipton, Ca., at the stateline where fabulous burgers are served. Nipton's fluctuating population of 38 to 92 receives 85% of its electrical power via solar panels.

While hiking the beautiful Red Rocks and surrounding areas, wild burros or coyotes may be seen. Near Lake Mead a zip line experience from peak to peak is available for those who enjoy speed and height. Bootleg Canyon Flightlines in Boulder City offers a fantastic thrill of a life time to visiters via a zipline trip over canyons while traveling at speeds up to 70 mph. Call on your day of excuse to verify your experience will be offered. Occidentally high winds may cancel the day's activities.

The Clark County Shooting range, located northwest of Las Vegas, is a $ 25 million facility offering a learning opportunity to those who desire to improve shooting skills or to participate in shooting matches.
